Impartiality

Verification New Zealand Ltd understands the importance of impartiality when conducting verification and certification activities; this includes the management of conflicts of interest and ensuring the objectivity of certification and verification activities.

  • We provide objective, independent and impartial certification of management standards and verification of Greenhouse Gases (GHG) assertions 
  • We offer certification against management system standards, and the verification of Greenhouse Gas assertions without bias, discrimination or prejudice 
  • We do not offer management systems or GHG consultancy services 
  • We are independent and impartial in performing certification and verification activities 
  • We conduct on-going risk assessment to ensure impartiality, and conflicts of interest are managed 
  • We have contractual agreements with staff and subcontractors to assist in the management of impartiality 
  • We have an independent committee to review our certification and verification activities and any conflicts of interest that arise 
  • We ensure the objectivity of certification and verification activities; findings and conclusions are based on objective evidence generated during the certification/verification process
